Massaya is a collaboration of French and Indonesian entrepreneurs. Our company is located in Yogyakarta, in the region of Central Java, Indonesia. We also own a warehouse located near Angers, in the west part of France. It is actually a join of French Indonesian know-how that we manage to produce furnitures that distinguish themselves by their style and their quality.

We use principally teakwood that is recognized by its beauty and strength, and that is issued from plantation controled by the government. In Indonesia, the history of teakwood trading can be traced back to the colonial time. Nowadays, teakwood grows only in plantations under the control of programs aiming at replacing trees that have been cut: teak is thus not classified among endangered type of wood.

As exportation, the advantage of teak is that it has very little nervousness:contrary to many other kinds of wood, it only has weak reactions to the changes of climate and the variety of weather.
